Located on the beautiful Lexington Reservoir two miles from Los Gatos,
California, Los Gatos Rowing Club serves more than 150 junior and 125 adult rowers.
Founded in 1979, the club provides competitive sweep and sculling programs for rowers ranging from novice to elite and from juniors to veteran masters.
The junior team draws its crews from more than 25 public and private high schools across Silicon Valley.
Santa Clara University men’s and women’s crews share LGRC’s modern boathouse and sheltered 3000-meter course.
The club also offers learn-to-row, inner-city outreach and adaptive rowing programs for the community.
The Club’s competitive crews have been successful at all levels. The
Women’s Varsity Lightweight 8+ won the National Championship in the
summer of 2007 and the club had two Junior Men in the Gold Medal US
Under 19 8+ at the 2007 CanAmMex in St Catharine's Ontario. Two LGRC
alumni were in the US Womens 8+ that set a world record at the 2006 World
Championships in England and four represented the US in the Women’s 8+,
4+ and Pair in Munich at the 2007 World Championships.
